Born and raised here in Greenville, South Carolina, I am proud to call the upstate my home. I am married and a father of two beautiful daughters. I spent 20 years in the food and beverage sales/distribution industry. I have also been an owner of a decorative concrete business. I know what it means to work hard and put customers first. I became a Real Estate Agent in 2017. After gaining invaluable experience with my last brokerage, I decided to join Servus Realty Group in November 2020. I can only say that my experience with Matt was only the best!! I had been looking for a vacation property for about a year with two realtors that did little for my search. After being connected with Matt I was almost overwhelmed with potential properties that he had researched. He is a realtor that really puts in the work to accomplish his clients goals. Matt surpassed every expectation I had of a realtor. He provided terrific guidance through the entire process of buying our new home and selling our existing house. He was there to proactively assist us in every facet...pricing negotiations, finalizing repairs, scheduling appointments, closings...he even polished floors, made multiple repairs and cleaned out our fridge!! Seriously, he did it all, we could not have had a better advocate! He helped us earn top $$$ while listing our house, and also aggressively facilitated the purchase of our new home in what turned out to be an extremely competitive situation. In retrospect, we received exactly what we wanted out of both transactions. I would recommend Matt to anyone, and have already done so to my coworkers. Matt was an amazing realtor. His work ethic and knowledge of the marketplace and rules/regulations is unmatched. He helped us ready our home for the market and literally rolled up his sleeves to lay bricks, roof tiles, and other projects. He got us top dollar for the house we sold, which had multiple offers. He negotiated like a champion and got us in our current house too, which had two other competing offers! I can’t say enough good things about him. If you can use him as your realtor, consider yourself lucky!

Finding and buying a house under any circumstances is usually a stressful situation. Add moving to a new state where you don’t know anyone...during a global pandemic..and you would think that process would be extremely overwhelming. But, in reality, that was not at all our experience and we owe that entirely to Matt Byars. Matt eased our concerns with his knowledge of the area and local real estate, as well as his simply easygoing demeanor. Matt went out of his way to help us find the perfect home. Not easy when I’m in California just looking at pictures. He along with my brother did a personal video tour for my wife and me. Home is all we expected plus Matt has been great in locating potential contractors for work we want done. We concluded yesterday with the closing! All went smoothly. I consider Matt a friend now in South Carolina. Thank you!
